Christine Kim - an insight in her career
Updated: Apr 19
"7x7" - The 49 square mile city, San Francisco is one of the most popular cities in the world. Christine Kim, former President of Climb Realty, gives her thoughts on the real estate industry. I met Christine through a good friend of mine, Chris Lim, who was the Co-Founder of Climb Realty. Christine is an amazing spirit and a great leader. She is one of the very few Asian-American female CEOs in our industry, and we have gotten to know each other over the last few months. I am so impressed with her accomplishments; Not only is she a graduate of Northwestern University, but she is also a classically trained pianist. Here were her top 10 highlights from the podcast: 1) Be a part of the community you want to serve. 2) Be a leader in that community. She started the Silicon Valley chapter of AREAA. 3) Focus on a niche within the market and responding to market conditions. --She was focused on REOs and short sales during the downturn. 4) Build your relationships! 5) Mentor others, but be humble enough to learn from your mentee. 6) As a professional musician, discipline and practice stay with you throughout your entire life. 7) Think of your listing presentations and showings as a "performance". 8) Never assume things are going to go your way. Stay flexible and plan. 9) Prediction vs. Assumption -- There's a difference between predicting what is going to happen and assuming it will. 10) Come from a place of service to succeed. Enjoy!
